SKETCH #1 updated

Hi,

Some perhaps clearer specifics on the First Sketch:
  • Bring in two works which exhibit different mixes (weightings) of art + activism + technology
  • Deconstruct/dissect these works in terms of their components: How do they influence/contextualize each other? Are some of these parameters mute (transparent), while the others are emphasized? Are all three present equally? Is technology considered critically or does it function as a tool for getting the job done?
  • These mixes can be illustrated through graphs/charts/maps, or prose, or numbers...
  • Feel free to use any of Kaprow's language to further problematize the status of "art" (or non-art, or anti-art)
  • This analytical process will bring up questions - write them down and ask them to your colleagues in class...

Cheers, Marc
